Department of Mechanical Engineering
The discipline of Mechanical Engineering was established in the year 1992 with an initial intake of 30 which latter on got enhanced to 60 in the year 1994 and 120 in the year 2011. The department is housed exclusively independent expansive building consisting of sufficient number of Lecturer halls which conform to AICTE norms.

Salient Features

The department is blessed with highly qualified, experienced and stabilized teaching and Non-teaching faculty. The department has well equipped Laboratories with sophisticated equipments viz. CIM & Automation Lab, Design Lab, Computer Aided Modeling & Analysis Lab, Heat & Mass Transfer Lab, Fluid Mechanics & Machinery Lab, Energy Conversion Engineering Lab. Metallography & Material Testing Lab, Mechanical Measurements & Metrology Lab, Foundry & Forging Lab, Machine shop, Computer Aided Machine Drawing and Workshop practice. |
CAD/CAM lab have been upgraded by adding state of the art equipments & software under modrobs sponsored by AICTE., Delhi. The department has been organizing Seminars / Workshops on advanced topics at state level since beginning. Many ‘students projects’ have been sponsored by KSCST Bangalore. Five of the faculty members are pursuing Ph.D. under different universities at various stages and have successfully published & presented a number of research papers in National / Inter National conference held at different parts of the country. |
