Kalpataru Institute of Technology, a permier center of technical education was established in the year 1986. The college campus located on the outskirts of the town at a distance of about 2 Km. from Railway station and Bus Stand.The college is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum and Recognised by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.The Institute has very good infrastructure with excellent and dedicated faculty. Presently the college offers five B.E courses in Computer Science and Engineering, Information Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering and Mechanical Engineering with total annual intake of 480 and Post Graduate Programme MBA with an annual intake 120.

The Institute assists students in training and placement activities. Our placement record is more than 75% for eligible students. Till date more than 4500 students have passed out and are well placed in Government, Private and Public Sector organizations in India and abroad and they are doing very well.

The latest teaching aids are employed with regularly updated class room lecturers, EDUSAT training, expert visiting lecturers, laboratories, educational tours, seminars, industry and alumni interaction making learning an enriched experience with view to exploring all possible full potential of every student to develop into the best personality.
