Kalpataru Institute of Technology, Tiptur, organized by the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, National Level 24 Hour Kalpa AI Thon 2.0 Hackathon was conducted successfully on 23rd and 24th April 2026. 280 participants from about 45 colleges from different parts of the state participated and showcased their talents, technical knowledge and innovative ideas.

This hackathon was an important platform for fostering technical skills, problem solving abilities, team cooperation attitude and innovation in students. All the participating teams proved their potential by constantly working for 24 hours and making outstanding projects.

Mr. Keerthi Bilvaraj, Senior Staff Engineer, Renaissas Electronics Limited, who arrived as Chief Guest of the event, informed students about immense opportunities in the field of technology, inspiring them to step towards new innovations. Shri Gangadhar S, Associate Manager, Course 5 Intelligence Technologies, Bangalore shared valuable information to students about industry requirements and the future of technology.

Dr. Raviprakash M L, the convener of the program, neatly organized the program through comprehensive planning, hard work and leadership.

Dr. H.C. Satish Kumar, the principal of the college, attended the program and gave an inspirational message to the students.

The program was presided over by the honorable president of the organization Shri P.K. Thipperudrappa. KVS Vice President Shri Bagepalli Nataraju, Shri T.S. Basavaraju, Sri BS Umesh, Shri GP Deepak and Secretary Shri M.R. Sangamesh, Sri G.S. Umashankar, Sri H.G. Sudhakar, Sri T.U. Jagadish Murthy and Treasurer Sri T.S. Shivaprasad participated as guests of honour and brought special glitter to the program.

Cash prizes were distributed to teams who achieved outstanding achievement in the competition. Bangalore Institute of Technology, Bangalore won the first prize of Rs.15,000. JNNCE, Shimoga received second prize of Rs.10,000. RNSIT, Bangalore received third prize of Rs.7,000. RNSIT, Bengaluru, RVCE, Bangalore and Kalpataru Institute of Technology, Tiptur teams received consoling prizes.

The program was successfully conducted with the active cooperation of the heads, professors and staff of all departments of the college.

Kalpa AI Thon 2.0 was not just a competition, but a festival of inspiration that paved the way for students' dreams, and remained an indelible memory in everyone's hearts.

The monthly paper of AI & ML department KALP-AI-PATRIKA, and KALP-AI-SERIES, Vol. 1, Issue-1 was officially released during the grand event KALP-AI-THON 2.0.
