The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) is an initiative to rank institutions across the country by a core committee setup up and approved by MHRD and launched by Honorable Minister of Human Resource Development, Government of India.

This ranking is for identifying the broad parameters of institutions and universities, providing a comprehensive framework to evaluate and rank higher education institutions based on various parameters including teaching, learning, research, outreach, and perception.
