Department Profile
Department of mathematics was started along with the institution in 1986. In the first year the Department of Mathematics taught 200 students. The number of students grew in leaps and bounds year after year and now after its existence for over 2.5 decades the Department of Mathematics has to its credit to have taught more than 10,000 students from the beginning of the Institution.
Beginning with one member in its first year of inception the Department of Mathematics has grown in strength and now having six (06) faculty members of which three (3) are pursuing their Ph.D. degree.
The Department of Mathematics is involved with teaching activities for UG / PG / global electives in Mathematics under VTU.

The mission of the Mathematics Department is to have a positive and lasting impact on the quality of mathematics education and assist educators of mathematics in meeting the challenges of today's dynamic educational landscape. It strives to provide excellent teaching, and service to the university community and to the world in the application of mathematics to other disciplines.
