About AICTE IDEA Lab
AICTE IDEA (Idea Development Evaluation & Application) Lab is an initiative by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) New Delhi, to promote the students and faculty members in innovation, design thinking, and entrepreneurship.
IDEA Lab aims to create a hands-on experience, learning by doing and product visualization, which will helps engineering graduates to get training and skill for industry. Idea lab can facilitate students and faculty members to engage and explore their new ideas.
Kalpataru Institute of Technology, Tiptur, has been selected by AICTE, New Delhi to establish an IDEA Lab in the year 2025.
Vision
"To make student's envision fostering a culture of Innovation and Experiential learning in STEM fields by establishing the AICTE-IDEA LAB."
Mission
M1: Encourage an interdisciplinary approach to problem-solving, drawing on knowledge and skills from various fields.
M2: Student Workshops, Boot camps, Innovation challenges, skilling programs, annual conferences, open days, and internships.
M3: Foster the fulfilment of prototype centric learning and experiential learning aligned with New Education Policy (NEP 2020) that aims to balance the eco system.
M4: Development of the Entrepreneurship learning practice which generate the idea of start-ups to solve the rural unemployment problem.
M5: Faculty Development Programs (FDPs) to equip faculty with mentoring and innovation skills.
